    Ultrasonic Testing Analysis of Large Diameter Thick Wall SAWH Pipe Crack

    • 摘要: 介紹大直徑厚壁螺旋縫埋弧焊管制造過程中裂紋產(chǎn)生原因、裂紋位置和取向特點,分析不同類型裂紋缺陷超聲波檢測回波特征。分析認為:厚壁螺旋縫焊管焊縫易出現(xiàn)結(jié)晶裂紋及應(yīng)力撕裂裂紋缺陷。結(jié)晶裂紋作為一種在焊縫中分布較為規(guī)整的裂紋缺陷,在焊縫兩側(cè)超聲波探傷采用奇偶次波對比就能準確定性;應(yīng)力撕裂裂紋由于自身尺寸較小,需分析焊縫兩側(cè)一次波和二次波的超聲波探傷波形,綜合兩側(cè)缺陷探傷反射波幅才能準確對缺陷進行定位定量分析,因此對人員經(jīng)驗要求較高。

       

      Abstract: The causes, positions and orientations of the cracks appear in the manufacturing of large diameter thick wall SAWH pipes are introduced.The characteristics of the ultrasonic echoes of different types of cracks are analyzed.The analysis indicates that for thick wall SAWH pipe, the welds tend to show crystal cracks and stress cracks.Crystal cracks, distributing relatively even a weld, can be easily determined by comparing the odd and the even waves on both sides of the weld.Stress cracks are smaller, so only by analyzing the ultrasonic waveforms of the primary wave and the secondary wave from both sides of the weld, and taking into consideration the reflection amplitudes of both sides, can the defects be accurately positioned and quantified, which puts high requirements on the testing operator.
