Abstract:
Due to significant impact of the global finance crisis,in 2009,both the total output and sales vol-ume of the industry in the country were tremendously reduced,particularly in the seamless steel tube-making section. However,just from the second half of the year the industry began getting out of the depression,and had became better by the fourth quarter. Summarized in the paper are the general development situation of Russian steel pipe-making industry under the impact of the 2009 global finance crisis,and descriptions concerning the major steel pipe makers there,covering such aspects as production and sales,new product development and technical upgrade,etc.
