Abstract:
Described in the paper are the remarkable a chievements having been made by the domestic steel tube-making industry since 2002,and related existing shortcomings,including surplus of production capacity,profit sliding and quality instability,pressures imposed upon the enterprises by both sluggish increase of market demand and going up of raw material price,and low industrial concentration level,etc. It is concluded via relevant analysis that the domestic steel tube-making industry has entered a meager profit era,and will be facing a situation featuring graver challenges and strategic opportunities. It is also put forward that guided by the scientific outlook on development as established at the 18th CPC National Congress,the domestic steel tube-making industry needs to be speeding up in transformation and upgrade, i.e., transforming from the quantitative expansion type to the quality-profit type, from the high carbon-emission type to the low carbon-emission type, from the manufacturing type to the servicing type and from the depending type to the independent type, and upgrading towards high-end product manufacture, globalized marketing,environment-friendly production,and digitalized management in a bid to realize the dream of building the country into a world steel tube giant.
