Abstract:
Elaborated in the article are the main aspects of the QAS for seamless steel pipe continuous rolling mill line, including system configuration, arrangement of measurement instruments and devices, measurement principles, and problems encountered with the operation, etc. Owing to the QAS, parameters like temperature, and wall thickness, outside diameter and length of the pipe, etc. are being real-time inspected and measured during the continuous rolling process. Moreover, measurement, analysis and evaluation, etc. of the rolling process itself are realized so as to ensure performance and quality of steel pipes, and also provide a guarantee for enhancement of service spans of the equipment and the tools as well.
