Abstract:
Focused on are the development situations of the continuous rolling pipe mill-used mandrel both at home and abroad,covering such aspects as basic manufacturing process,production equipment of the mandrel maker and the supply-demand circumstances. Also presented in the paper is a comparison of the mandrel development in China with that abroad. Based on the analysis by the writer,it is identified that there still exists some world market potential for such product. It is also concluded that the domestic equipment level for manufacture of the said mandrel has been up to relevant international advanced level,and the product quality up to relevant world level as well,whereas a gap is not yet eliminated in terms of material composition and control of overall performance of the product. Furthermore,relevant suggestions are proposed,including establishing the national standard and the industrial standard for manufacture of the mandrel,and further focusing by the mandrel maker on systematic research on operation conditions of the mandrel.
